DWINGELDERVELD ✨ | 31.6 KM

Starting point: Visitor centre Dwingelderveld, Ruinen

This route takes you past Anserdennen, the observatory, the sheepfold Lhee and the village of Dwingeloo. Visit the nearby restaurant: Theehuis Anserdennen & boslounge.

This route takes you from the Frisian village of Appelscha through the Fochteloërveen nature reserve to the village of Veenhuizen. There, visit the Prison Museum.

Starting point: Starting from Brinckerduyn, pick up the route at knooppunt 91 (via the Bosberg to Appelscha).

Discover the versatility of the Drents-Friese Wold by bike. Cycle from forests to heathland, from sand drifts to fens and marshes as you discover the world of both Friesland and Drenthe. This route takes you past several national monuments, such as the hiding place in Diever, the St. Pancratius church and watchtower Aekingerzand. Press the pause button and enjoy a snack and a drink at the various catering establishments in Diever and Appelscha.
